Testing of Air-to-Water and Air-to-Air Heat Pumps
Eurofins Expert Service carries out testing of performance of air-to-water and air-to-air heat pumps by applying standard or customer specified testing program. The customised test program takes into account the typical operational requirements of cold and arctic climate.
The coefficient of performance (COP, ratio of gained heating effect to applied electrical effect) is determined by applying the standard SFS-EN 14511:2013, parts1-4, "Air conditioners, liquid chilling packages and heat pumps with electrically driven compressors for space heating and cooling." The test can be carried out either according to standard or using customised program. The customised program defines COP as a gliding hourly average value that includes also the effect of defrosting periods.
