The methods used for geochemical exploration require, in many cases, a larger element suite with cost-effective price. In resource evaluation the focus is often on defining the grades of commodity elements. In this case, the requirements for precision and accuracy are more demanding.

Eurofins Mineral Testing Finland is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 by FINAS (Finnish accreditation service), testing laboratory T025.

For analysing geological samples we are offering a selection of extraction/digestion methods:

• FireAssay
• Aqua Regia digestion
• Multi-acid digestion
• Sodium peroxide fusion for refractory and high grade ores and concentrates
• Phase and mineral selective leaches
• Individual methods

Depending on the project and the ore type, the elemental analyses are performed with ICP-OES and/or ICP-MS techniques. The analytical schema can be complemented with element-specified methods like high -grade sulphur -, carbon-, Hg-analyses, physical parameters like loss-on-ignition, specific gravity, magnetisation.
