Eurofins Electric & Electronics Finland Oy offers a wide range of assessment, testing and certification services for ATEX and IECEx approvals of electrical and mechanical equipment. In addition, we are able to support companies through national and regional certification schemes together with our international Eurofins network.

ATEX Testing and Certification

Eurofins Electric & Electronics Finland Oy is Notified Body No. 0537 under the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU offering all conformity assessment tasks given in the Directive for Notified Bodies:

• EU-type examination (Annex III) for an EU-type examination certificate
• Product verification (Annex V) for a Certificate of conformity
• Supervised product testing (Annex VI) for a Notification according to the type
• Unit verification (Annex IX) for a Certificate of conformity
• Technical file storage (Annex VIII) for an Acknowledgement of receipt
• Quality assurance of the production process (Annex IV) and Product quality assurance (Annex VII) for a Quality assurance notification (QAN)

In addition, we issue voluntary Certificates of conformity as an accredited certification body for Category 3 electrical and mechanical equipment and Category 2 and M2 mechanical equipment at customer request. Typically, such certificates are requested for marketing purposes or due to end-user requirements.

IECEx Testing and Certification

IECEx is a conformity assessment system operated under the IEC. The objective of the IECEx system is to facilitate international trade in equipment and services for use in explosive atmospheres.

Eurofins Electric & Electronics Finland Oy is an accepted ExCB and ExTL in the IECEx Certified Equipment Scheme offering the following services:

• IECEx Technical Report (ExTR)
• IECEx Quality Assessment Report (QAR)
• IECEx Certificate of Conformity (CoC)

International Market Access

There is a variety of national and regional certification schemes similar to ATEX in the EU. Eurofins Electric & Electronics Finland Oy can help customers to obtain national and regional approvals through our Eurofins network. Typically, these approvals are based on an IECEx CoC we have previously issued to our customer.
